Occupational Therapists are uniquely trained to assist patients after physical injury to the upper limbs, suffering a Stroke, Traumatic Brain injury or Spinal Cord Injury or illness such as Arthritis, Parkinsons or Multiple Sclerosis. We facilitate return to personal care, leisure and work tasks as independently as possible or to maintain independence as long as possible.
Lindie Pieterse Occupational Therapists Incorporated’s vision is to deliver occupational therapy services from the acute phase of injury to return to work in the patient’s own or an alternative occupation. The team consists of a practice manager and multiple occupational therapists.
The practice was established in 2005 and initially focused on upper limb rehabilitation. However, it evolved and is now rendering in-hospital occupational therapy services at three private hospitals, acute outpatient rehabilitation, and facilitating early return to work.
Occupational therapy promotes health and wellbeing by supporting participation in meaningful occupations that people want, need or are expected to do. (WFOT2025)
